The beads get darker over time as they absorb your oils and energy. This is thought to strengthen the rudraksha.

Malas are hand-knotted between each bead while Bracelets are hand-strung. Hand-knotting is a traditional way of making mala necklaces, and is meant to help ease your meditation practice. This piece was and made by a female artisan who was provided fair wages and a safe and supportive working environment.
